ludaloo · 16/03/2007 10:48

oooh are you Irish too...I see...

Mhamai · 16/03/2007 10:49

No, mostly it's mam or mammy but when he's in his old man mood, he's 6 btw, it's mother!

NineUnlikelyTales · 16/03/2007 10:53

Morning all

I'm just grateful someone knew what a baseboard was. What with baseboards and credenzas, I feel I am learning an new language here (our Swiss cleaner taught me the French word for skirting board but I have forgotten it and she has gone back to Switzerland so I can't oblige).

Well DS had his worst night of sleep since he was a newborn last night, so I am shattered and ache all over. He cried almost all night It might be because of the injections on Wednesday, or he might be coming down with something.

So again I am exhausted and won't get much done today but at least the kitchen is always clean before I go to bed, no matter how tired I am (and sink shining)

Done

Bought ingredients for enormous fry up brunch (as you can tell, DH man-flu making good progress)
Eaten 2 bars of chocolate, danish pastry and cheese cake (breastfeeding so constantly starving)

To do

Basically everything
Laundry
Beds
Tidy living rooms
Vacuum
Set up council tax direct debit

Hope you all have more successful days!

9nut

staceym11 · 16/03/2007 10:54

oh i was nowhere near!!!!

ludaloo · 16/03/2007 10:54

lol! my 3 and a half year old sometimes calls me mother!!

shouldbe I know the temptation all to well!!! I haven't even logged in on MSN for a while as I always spend far too long gassing...and my friend has just put it on her work computer...so she is always online! Not good when the house needs doing, and small people need some attention!

Mhamai · 16/03/2007 10:55

Yes ludaloo, I'm Irish and tomorrow is St Patricks day so I'm bringing ds to the parade in Dublin. It's ds's first big parade, have brought him to the smaller local ones up to now but this will be his first big one and he's so excited! Bless.

Ok, heres my to list,
Clear dishes
Make beds
Hoover
Mop Floors
Clean bathromm
Dust
Shine sink (properly )
Iron and put clothes away.

Good luck flying.

NineUnlikelyTales · 16/03/2007 10:56

Oo Mhamai, hope you have a fab time

ludaloo · 16/03/2007 10:58

9nut poor you! and poor ds oh lordy and your dh too!
A fry up sounds yummy! I might do bacon for lunch...I remember eating loads whilst BF too...and drinking gallons!!!!

Right now I really must go

Mhamai · 16/03/2007 10:59

Aw nine, sorry you didn't have a good nights rest, take it easy on yourself, I think people that are not on fly misunderstand, we are not a nazi military cleaning cult, we are here to support each other too. Btw, your post about bringing copost and dancing it into the carpets was ace! [smie]

ludaloo · 16/03/2007 10:59

Oh yes!!! Happy St Patricks day!! Have a wonderful time, it sounds great! He'll love that...

Mhamai · 16/03/2007 11:00

compost even and ok really am off now, see you all later.

Mhamai · 16/03/2007 11:00

Thank's ludaloo, see you later.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 16/03/2007 11:01

Mhamai sounds fun, have a good time tomorrow

luda MSN and MN are both fab and have helped me loads recently but I do sometimes wonder if I'd get more done if I didn't feel the need to post/nudge on a regular basis! I clearly have an addictive personality

Upstairs is done (except the office and the bathroom) so this is me signing out for a bit and heading downstairs with the dusters and the hoover - see you all later x

tortoise · 16/03/2007 11:01

Bed is now stripped. No way i can make it with DD's trying to jump all over it!
Stared a quick tidy up of my messy room too.
DD's are making their room more messy.
Only came downstairs to answer the phone.

Back again soon.

mhamai I was miles out too although i was thinking it sounded like Mummy.

satinshoes · 16/03/2007 11:26

hello all

glad to have some mystique about me

been into town and payed in some cheques and bought dd a lollipop so she's thinks she's in heaven (a reflection on how often i treat her perhaps?)

No cleaning today but thanks to DH the place is tidy.

tortoise · 16/03/2007 11:31

My bedroom looks heaps better now! Floor is clear but washing basket is now full.

Stopping for a drink before tackling the girls room! Help!!

staceym11 · 16/03/2007 11:33

there are so many sick children around atm , hopefully they'll all get better soon!!!

well have now done:

5 min room rescue (dds again, i dunno what she does in there!!)
washing up
s+s kitchen
steralise bottles

to do:

shine sink
hoover if i have a chance!

dd is now asking for lunch shes already had breakfast, raisins a banana and 10 grapes!!! piglet!!!!

will prob manage my whole list today, if i have the energy to hoover around dd, usually wait till shes in bed, no havign to clear as i go malarky!!!

ludaloo · 16/03/2007 11:33

ooooh I have seen how messy your kids rooms can get! Mine get equally as messy, but I have cunningly thrown out all the tiny bits and pieces!. When DD1 wakes up, I might go and move her room around, for a change...it does need a tidy anyway...

tortoise · 16/03/2007 11:41

It needs to be tidy and sorted ready for the new bed! Half the books have been pulled off the shelf now. Grrr! And toy box emptied!

Upsadaisy · 16/03/2007 11:49

You lot have been busy!

  • I made my calls but they wern't fruitful have to ring back later and monday Grrrhhhh! I'm shy and it takes me ages to get the courage up at timesand if I get answering machines I spout utter gibberish and gobblygook unless i'm taking someone on (i.e bank, mobile broadband provider) and then I surprise myself.
  • My assignment is a working progress
  • The washer is humming away and clothes are on the line.
  • I'm kind of straightening up as I go when I need a break from the pc.

Ludaloo hope your little one is feeling better soon

nine hope you manage to get your feet up and enjoy the fry up!

tortoise · 16/03/2007 11:50

Upsa Im like that. Keep getting answer phone from party venue and i can't leave a message! Hopefully will catch someone there soon!

damewashalot · 16/03/2007 11:56

Back, need to feed baby, then will do something, really

Ivor, good to hear you are not so hairy and scarey, you don't sound hairy

taylormama · 16/03/2007 12:03

haven't had time to read the messages (lots today) - just wanted to say i am making progress but have reached that awful stage where there is stuff everywhere and just not quite sure what to do first - will have MN moment i think!

tortoise · 16/03/2007 12:23

Bed is made.
And DD's stayed downstairs so now the sofa cushions are all on the floor. Don't know whats wrong with them today.

And i sneaked a piece of flapjack to eat and i bit my tongue hard. It hurts!

bewilderbeast · 16/03/2007 12:28
