I've tried hot soapy water and put them in the dishwasher and also dettol spray, but they still look and smell greasy. What can I do?

Stick them in dishwasher more regularly ....

Pour in baking soda and dish soap: Pour a good squirt of de-greasing dish soap and 1/4 cup baking soda into the hot water. Swish around with a brush (not your hand because it's too hot!) until the water is nice and soapy. Put greasy filters in water: Submerge your greasy exhaust fan filters into the water.

Easier to just put them
In the dishwasher on a weekly basis

Stardrops from Wilko? It's cheap and great for a variety of jobs with different levels of dilution. i'd spray on a 50/50 solution and leave for an hour, then into the dishwasher.

Have you put in dishwasher with intense wash setting? Maybe do it every week until they are clear and do them regularly .. mine come out looking brand new after the dishwasher but I do put in regularly
