Where the hell are the earwigs coming from!?!?!

Every so often I see earwigs in the sun room which is now the playroom.

Today I have seen two in my hallway!!!!

Once I saw one in the kitchen.

My house is clean and tidy but I just don't know why there earwigs are coming into my house!!

How can I stop them from

Sometimes they are just there in the earth. Is it a new house? My parents bought a new house in the 60s and the whole street (small cul de sac) was plagued by them.

Not a brand new house.. made in 70s but newish looking

I have to scan the playroom before DS1 goes in there because I am worried he will eat one !
