Anyone else dislike soft towels?!

Everyone seems to love soft towels. I love towels that feel rather abrasive when you get out of the shower and get dried. Soft towels just don't do the job imho. Am I the only one? Grin

Yes I never feel that soft towels absorb as well

BusyBee2017 · 15/05/2017 17:47

I don't like them always feels like you ain't dry lol

I like the abrasive ones too haha

AllTheWittyNamesAreGone · 15/05/2017 17:49

Me!
I like a rough towel dry, makes me feel exfoliated a properly dry

bibbitybobbityyhat · 15/05/2017 17:50

Yanbu.

Soft towels don't feel clean to me. Towels soften up as you use them don't they? So mine go in the wash once they have become properly soft and floppy.

khajiit13 · 15/05/2017 17:55

No fabric conditioner here, I hang my towels on the line until they're nice and crispy....

PlymouthMaid1 · 15/05/2017 18:12

Me too. I never use conditioner.

LaceandChintz · 15/05/2017 19:16

Thanks all! Glad I'm not the only one.
I was reading the other day about putting your towels in the tumble drier to make them all soft. I don't have a tumble drier so that's okay then!!

i like a nice crisp towel!

ShatnersBassoon · 15/05/2017 19:22

DH likes towels so crispy you have to snap them over your knee to get them around your body. I like soft, fluffy towels. It's all go in our house.

sonlypuppyfat · 15/05/2017 19:23

I love a crunchy towel, a two man job just to fold them

AdultHumanFemale · 15/05/2017 19:27

No, can't stand a limp towel. Nor those thick-pile, fleecy dressing gowns. A nice, stiff cotton towelling robe for me. Like wearing the bark off a tree.

MoreThanUs · 15/05/2017 19:29

Me. Limp towels feel unclean somehow

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 15/05/2017 19:35

Me, I hate floppy towels.

AdultHumanFemale · 15/05/2017 19:39

Puppyfat "...two man job" -classic! Grin

alltalknobaby · 15/05/2017 22:36

The only time I've ever used fabric conditioner on towels was when I was breastfeeding. Rough towels on sore nips will make your eyes water Shock

chickpeaburger · 16/05/2017 00:51

I can't abide big, fat, fluffy, soft towels. IKEA used to be my go to place but they have such awful colours.

I've just found fantastic towels at Muji. I also have M & S lightweight towels which are my second most favourite.

The Muji ones are wonderful...bath towels and hand towels (I don't think you can order the hand towels online. I wanted a second set so ended up going in to the shop)

Oh my goodness, the bath towels are now half price!!! www.muji.eu/pages/online.asp?Sec=10&Sub=42&PID=8246

sonlypuppyfat · 16/05/2017 08:04

Primark do brilliant towels, lovely colours that last ages

LaceandChintz · 16/05/2017 08:11

chickpeaburger I love Muji for all sorts of stuff ( their clothes are great) but haven't tried towels. I feel a trip coming on.
Loving all these posts, 2 man job to fold, tree bark, yep, all sounds just right for a perfect towel

YAASS! I never put my towels in the dryer, I leave them on the drying rack and they go crispy Smile

LaLegue · 16/05/2017 08:14

Yes. Rough, crispy, scratchy towels all the way in our house. Fluffy towels look nice but are useless for getting dry and have a way of leaving me feeling dirtier than before I showered.
