Steam mops...

Does anyone recommend steam mop over normal mop and bucket? I mop 4 rooms probably 3 times a week ..

And if so what brand thanks

I have the X5 HD mop and I love it!

We've got the Shark Lift-Away steam mop. It's the best one we've had. It's got 3 steam settings and it's so easy to convert into a hand held steamer.

Prior to this we had a Vax one which was fine, but not on a par to the Shark, but I found it really fiddly to convert so we gave it to DS2. We had 2 X5 HD's, both broke within 6 months so we got our money back.

Yes definitely! So much quicker and far more satisfying. Depends on what floors you have as to whether a steam mop is suitable though.

It's like 'posh laminate'?! Nothing too special but obviously don't want it ruining? It's same floor in all rooms I mop

Do these have the pads that you put in washing machine?

Yes they do littlemiss.

I'm all laminate aside from my HSL and the X5 does a great job and has Velcro pads that go in the washing machine, also turns in to a hand held for other jobs

I have a Shark too. I've had it for about 5 years and still love it and never had any problems with it. With steam cleaners and mops it's definitely worth spending the money.

I have a Vax it's a couple of years old and I'm not convinced that it's producing the amount of steam it used to.

When I replace it I want a Bissell that has a vacuum built in, vacuum and steam in one go rather than, Hoover/ brush before steam.

I have ordered a vax one collecting it this morn and will give it a whirl! Rock n roll Sunday's

i love my steam mop! i use 1 cloth for each room! and seeing the colour of it after i havnt done it for a day makes me want to do it every day! so much cleaner! especially when you have a 1 year old bum shuffler!

It only comes with one pad so I need to look on amazon or something and get another

we get ours from ebay! normally 4 for £20
