Zoflora is washing machine

Hi guys so I'm new (obviously) and I'm searching the internet to find out how to use Zoflora in the washing machine. I've seen that you put it in where the fabric softener goes but was wondering if still I need to add fabric softener or not.

Think you can add a bit in with fabric softener but I've just been using it instead of fabric softener. OH now loves it and wants zoflora in everything!
