Spilt milk in the boot of a car - *how* do you get rid of the smell?? Help!

My friend bought a six pint container of milk and on the journey home, half of it leaked in the boot. She has taken the carpet out and tried all manner of cleaning agents on it but nothing has worked.

Any ideas, anyone?

your friend needs to get a pet odour remover from the pet shop - basically, it's a solution containing enzymes (you activate the enzymes by mixing it with warm water). The enzymes digest the organic matter, thus getting rid of the stuff that smells. She needs to make sure the area stays saturated with the cleaning solution for 24 hours, and then leave it to dry.
It works an absolute treat on all spills of that sort - sick, wee, milk etc., so is useful to have in the house anyway.
