Recommendations for pillow and mattress protectors

In the process of getting a new bed. Would like to purchase good value pillow and mattress protectors.

Anyone tried the 'basic' john lewis range or ikea? Any of the supermarket ranges? Are they any good? Don't want to buy too thick and bulky as the existing pillow cases might not fit.

Thanks

Not the cheapest but the White Company has a good selection from basic to luxury and they are often in the sale with 20% off - if you sign up with your email address you'll find out when the sales are on (very frequently - I only buy with a discount!)

If your pillows are run of the mill ones I'd be using plain white cheap-as-chips cotton pillow cases for liners. No need to pay more for liners than pillows cost.

If you're spending £50+ then I'd be looking at John Lewis for something a bit more specialised. They used to do 2 for £10 zipped ones that were pretty good.

I got basic ones from tesco and aldi. Seem to be doing a good job.

Poundstretcher for pillow protectors, lovely quilted ones, 2 in a pack for less than £5.

I've got a mix, M&S, JL, Ikea and Primark. They are all wearing and washing well so I have to say Primark as they were by far the cheapest.
