Where can I get/is there such a thing that you put in your saucepan to stop in boiling over?

Think I've heard you can get such a thing?

Anyone got one? Know where to get one from?

There's a sort of a ceramic disc you can put in the pan to stop milk boiling over. You can also get a heat diffuser which goes under the pan - not sure which is better for your purposes.

You can bet your life Lakeland will stock them - God I love that place .

i've got something similar to this it doesn't actually stop anything boiling over (which is what i wanted) it rattles when the pan is boiling so you can turn it down funnily enough - i've never used it!

actually - i think the lakeland one DOES stop boil over!

My gran had a glass version of this, she used it when boiling milk, it just rattles to warn you, doesn't stop it boiling over.
