What do I use to remove mildew?

A small patch of mildew has recently appeared on the ceiling above the shower (despite the bathroom being well ventilated, window open a LOT). The ceiling is just plasterboard painted white. What product would take the mildew away but leave the paint behind?

The only thing that works on our bathroom ceiling is bleach

Mistletoekids · 28/04/2017 21:14

How do you apply it?

Dettol mould and mildew spray. Works every time. I keep our bathroom well ventilated, but it is inevitable that mould appears on the ceiling above the shower.

Mould and mildew spray. Any brand. B&M and Lidl ones are fine. Spray on and leave.

Astonish mould and mildew spray then repaint with anti mildew paint

HG mould spray. Stinks to high heaven but does the job. Be careful to wear gloves and protect your eyes if you're spraying the ceiling.

Astonish mould and mildrew remover. Spray on, wipe with microfibre cloth (cheap ones are just as good).

I use Dulux bathroom paint
