How much would you sell a bunk bed for?

I have two sets of bunk beds and I want to sell because I need to make space in my house now so I will need smaller beds for my children as these wooden bunk beds are too bulky. I have put them on eBay and Facebook for £80 per set. There is no mattresses included as I will need these for my children's new beds when I buy them. Is this a reasonable price? I keep getting offers for £50 but these beds are in really good condition. Should I be accepting the £50 offers? I need at least £70 so i can buy a new bed for my children.

If it helps £50 is about as much as you will get. You can buy new for about £70. I just gave a set away plus a bed with under bed( both under 12 months old purchased from John Lewis) I would sell to be rid of them...plus if it's eBay remember you will be charged fees.

How much did you pay for them in the first place? If they're from aspace or white company , ok, but if they're Argos or Ikea, you're having a giraffe!

They are not IKEA. They cost me around £280 each. They are in very good condition. I thought my price was reasonable but it appears it and so I will be changing the price. Also it's hard on eBay because if I put down the price at £50 I will have to pay a fee so won't actually get £50. How much fee do they actually charge? I'm new to selling and I'm new to eBay

I know it's a good thing to give them away but I need some money to put towards the new beds I need to get. I'm only getting rid of Them because of shortage of space ( have to move my girls into all the same room instead of separate ones)

For furniture in good condition I usually ask at the most half of what they were new but have gone down to a 3rd of what it would be new. If you can wait it out a bit longer then do, but as time goes on it'll become clear what people will actually go up to.

Could you cancel sale on Ebay and go through Gumtree instead, no fees with them. Or Facebook (not that I've used them for selling)

I paid £40 for a seconhand John Lewis high sleeper without mattress that cost over £400 new, I think £40-50 is a fair price.

Generally for anything I sell second hand I go by a third of original purchase price as a starting point.

There are lots of bunk beds on ebay for well below £50, so any higher than that is probably unrealistic. How much you need to raise is of course irrelevant if people won't pay it. Depends a bit where you are as well, how far will people have to drive to get it and how big is the city/ town you are in (more potential buyers close enough).

I've offered to deliver the bed to anyone who can't collect.

Ebay fees are around 10% of selling price. If you ask for cash on collection rather than PayPal you'll avoid a PayPal fee too. HTH

Where are you? I've been looking on eBay recently for bunk beds and I think £70 for very good condition is not too much to ask at all. I'm near London though and not sure if that's indicative of nationwide.

Without mattresses, I think £50 is about the going rate, doubt you'd get much more.

I prefer Facebook or Gumtree for anything big that needs collecting. If you do go the Ebay route, don't accept pay pal if you are not posting, worth reading up on the scams people pull when you don't have proof of posting.

Good photos go a long way, especially if you are aiming to show things are in good condition.

When I was looking there were a few stompa or other big brands going up to £100 but plenty of others around £20. Depends how fast you need to sell them or whether you need to let them go at the lower price to move them on quickly.
