I have always used bleach but the smell is too much for me now.

What do you use and does anyone use a homemade cleaner?

Flash

DimpledThighs · 12/03/2007 13:12

am interested too as my floor is always slightly tacky afterwards.

Aloveheart · 12/03/2007 13:13

biological washing powder is good, soda crystals.

Aero · 12/03/2007 13:13

I use flash.

HappyDaddy · 12/03/2007 13:13

I use Flash wipes. No stickyness, no slipperyness. No hairs or stuff getting stuck in mop and easy to chuck away.

Yes, it's a bloke's solution!

Aloveheart · 12/03/2007 13:13

lol blokes wash floors/?????? lmao

docket · 12/03/2007 13:14

I use Ecover floor soap which smells nice. Not sure it's quite as effective at removing germs as bleach though.

BettySpaghetti · 12/03/2007 13:14

A Pledge liquid that you add to the bucket of water for the wooden floors and Flash-type liquid for the tiled floors.

Nbg · 12/03/2007 13:14

Oooo no HD.
Am a bit old fashioned when it comes to cleaning me floor.

I like to get on my hands and knees with a brush if I have to.
Although I sometimes use wipes for laminate.

Will non bio do ALH?

HappyDaddy · 12/03/2007 13:15

I get on hands and knees, too. I prefer the simplicity of wipes and they do the job.

I'll probably get lynched by the friends of the earth mob, for chucking away 400 wipes but I can handle that.

Enid · 12/03/2007 13:15

very hot water, a tinsy bit of washing up liquid, a tinsy bit of bleach

Crazydazy · 12/03/2007 13:17

Bit of washing up liquid, tiny bit of bleach and so disinfectant, love the smell of disinfectant.

Nbg · 12/03/2007 13:18

How many packs of wipes do you go through, lol!

I'll give the washing up and bleach and go now then.
I quite like the idea of bio washing powder though.

HappyDaddy · 12/03/2007 13:21

Bleach and washing up liquid is good, too, yeah.

I get shouted at for not wearing marigolds, though. As if I could hold my head up in male society if I wore those!!

Cappuccino · 12/03/2007 13:22

I use Buddy floor cleaner from Lakeland and it is FAB.

Was quite expensive, but it's highly concentrated - you only use a tiny amount for a huge bucket of water and I've had the same bottle for MONTHS and not even half way through yet so I reckon I've saved loads of money.

AND it's far far better than Flash All Purpose and the like.

RubberDuck · 12/03/2007 13:38

(just as well it's lasting forever - I've just looked on their site and they don't seem to have it anymore - definitely picked it up from their store in town though).
