When is the best time to go to Sainsbury for reduced groceries?

What is the cheapest item you got?

Not sure about Sainsburys but 7pm seems to be best time for most supermarkets.

Moneysavingexpert shows this table. I'm not sure if it's still up to date but it's a starting point...

I think any time in the evening, probably 2 hours before closing. I think some stores have less discounted items than others though and I've noticed there are things that are regularly reduced that vary between the different stores too.
My best bargain wasn't from Sainsburys, but Morrisons. Massive bag of carrots for 11p! I made so many meals with them, they lasted ages.
From Sainsburys it's probably been any fish or meat I buy. Sometimes the discount isn't huge, but sometimes it's less than half price.

If you live far from everywhere you could try online shopping too. Nearly every supermarket give money off the first shop. Asda do cash back on the first shop, but only through topcashback, I think Ocado do £20 off £80 and Sainsburys do £18 off £60 from what I remember. Sainsburys also follow up with 3 more £10 off £50 for the next few shops.

It varies. One store near us seems to be about 7pm - got a 9p watermelon quarter, once - they were chasing customers around trying to give them away!

The smaller one is best at about 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. A lot of their butchery meat ends up less than half price, which was great back before they ruined their sausages.

What do you mean by Sainsbury ruined their sausages? Just so I know before I buy sausages from there lol

Finally got to Sainsbury during the evening at 9.20 and got the folllowinf bargains

10p for each packet except the 5 donuts which were 44p
