I'm feeling quite pleased with myself.

Got in from work at 7.20am. Did some route planning for DH, have got 3 loads of washing on the line, and one in the machine.

That includes the linen off all 3 beds (DS1's is usually done every day anyhow as he still wets).

I've also been to church and played for the service, emptied the dishwasher, and put the clothes away that DH ironed yesterday.

Still to do:

Put last load of washing on the line
Do some more route planning
Makes the beds (the old linen is in the wash but the beds aren't made yet )
Get a few more bits on ebay
Cook the dinner
Bath the boys (possibly - although DH should be back from work intime to do that)
And sit down and put my feet up to watch the Rugby

It would usually be a day of rest in this house too - especially as I worked last night, but DH is working today so I need to stay awake to keep 1/8th of an eye on the DS's - and also I'm trying to keep my mind off my sh*tty workplace.........the latter isn't really working unfortunately though

I'm with HC, pass the chocolate

MadamePlatypus · 11/03/2007 14:07

you see I had a to do list, but then DD fell asleep on the sofa so all I could do was sit and make sure she didn't roll over in her sleep and play on Mumsnet. Not my fault.

myturn · 11/03/2007 14:10

No excuses MadamePlatypus. You are a woman - you can multitask - housework/child minding/MN - like any other woman

DimpledThighs · 11/03/2007 14:10

um er - made soup for lunch and emptied/ loaded the dishwasher.

was quite pleased with myself until I read this!

princessmel · 11/03/2007 14:12

Well dh and I have washed all the floors downstairs, and hoovered the rugs.

Then I emptied the bins,
made fairy cakes,
cleaned the inside of the conservatory windows,
made lunch,
put on a load of washing. Need to do another one really.

When the football is finished we're all going out for a walk in the sun.

oxocube · 11/03/2007 14:14

Some cooking, some cleaning, lots of dog walking and looking after children, quite a bit of Mumsnetting, am off to the playground with my 3 plus one and a book

LucyJones · 11/03/2007 14:17

2 loads of washing
hoovered most of house except stairs and ds' room cos it's covered in train tracks
dh took ds to do weekly shop

prettymum · 11/03/2007 14:28

did the dishes twice, dp has cooked dinner before he went off to cricket few mins ago.
made the beds...

theres absolutely no point with me tidying up as dd will only mess it up so thats left till later

i still have to

iron
switch on thw washing machine
hoover and mop
and probably a whole lot more i cant think of right now

princesscc · 11/03/2007 14:32

Thinking of changing my name to LittleMissSmug because I had done the ironing by 8.15am! House is still as spotless as it was on FRIDAY, as dd is away for the weekend. However won't be quite as smug when she gets home in 2 hours with a pile of washing!

PavlovtheCat · 11/03/2007 14:35

Today, I have eaten breakfast, eaten lunch, fed Lo breakfast, lunch and BF, talked on mumsnet, had a bath. Made more mess than I cleaned.
Does that make me a bad mother/housewife?

PavlovtheCat · 11/03/2007 14:36

oh, I drew the curtains and made LO's cot...rinsed a cup for my coffee...
?

bonkerz · 11/03/2007 14:40

paulaplumpbottom · 11/03/2007 14:44

When I got up I wiped the kitchen counters down

Done breakfast fro B&B's, taken them to see lambing, been for walk and pubuncs, now have two rroms to clean and make up for tomorrow and late lunch is in oven

fannyannie · 11/03/2007 15:32

Right - all the beds now made with fresh linen, last load of washing on the line and the last few bits of yesterdays ironing put away.

I'm now hitting my 'exhaustion' period so I'm off to sit and watch France v England for a while until it passes, then I'll cook dinner, do the route planning watch some more TV then go to bed......

Can't wait until I'm off night shifts so I can do a whole day of housekeeping rather than fits and starts.

Next to nothing! Ds woke up at 5am and has been whinging all day long, dh is at work, and today has been a write off.

Tried gardening - hopeless.
Did manage some ironing and 2 loads of washing

Still need to:
Prepare and cook a duck (seemed like such a good idea on Friday when I bought it)
Make cauliflower cheese for ds
Tidy my bombsite of a house
Clean kitchen floor
Walk the dog
Empty and refill dishwasher

Counting the hours until ds is in bed and I can collapse on the sofa with a bottle of red wine. Tomorrow will be a better day......

YummyMummy34 · 11/03/2007 16:14

A very quiet day on the domestic goddess front - took DS to the park this morning and in the middle of preparing a roast dinner for tonight. I'm sat watching DH building a playhouse for DS... very tiring!

Tomorrow is my day of chores - cleaning, shopping, washing, cooking for later in the week so I can put something homemade and delicious in the oven when I get in from work.... I don't like Mondays!!

satinshoes · 11/03/2007 16:35

played with dd1, b/f dd2, had in laws over. sat around

will tidy up before i go to bed and then clean in the morning when dd1 at preschool.
