Filter needs cleaning?

Or run the machine through on v. hot programme with nothing in it?

MorocconOil · 11/03/2007 10:56

Probably needs some salt or rinse agent adding.

yellowvan · 11/03/2007 10:59

Take the spinny arms out and rinse them through. Might be gunk stuck up them.

Yes does your machine alert you to those things beety

or have you done all that stuff and we're being dead patronising

Beetrootccio · 11/03/2007 11:56

Are you overfilling it? Dh does that (on the rare occasions he fills it) and I have to put half the stuff back again to get it cleans.

Ours did that for a bit recently: it took a while to sort out, and I'm not sure what really fixed it. This is what I did:
I took all the bits out that I could find and scrubbed them
Used some of that 'dishwasher cleaner product'
Ran a few HOT washes
Changed d/w tablets from Tescos to something more expensive
Washed anything 'dodgy' by hand. (i.e glass and plastics for recycling with paper labels, etc.)

beanie2bump · 11/03/2007 14:36

have u changed tablets,?

BettySpaghetti · 11/03/2007 15:07

Ours does this a lot -sometimes it can be something thats blocking the holes in the spinning "arms". This seems to leave deposits of god knows what on everything (in our case it was a tiny bit of eggshell that had blocked one of the holes).

We find that the stuff on the top shelf, back left corner seems to suffer the most so it helps to not put glasses there as they seem to attract it more than, say, the kids plastic plates.

Betty - yes exaclty - so tedious
