I suddenly realised the other day when DS (6 months) was fondly sucking one of his toys in the bath, that I have never cleaned any of his toys!! Is that really bad? I was just wondering how often people actully clean toys and in what?

I have to admit, that it's something I think about sporadically and only do rarely, ie if the dog got hold of a toy or it was dropped outside .

Hulababy · 11/03/2007 10:41

Rarely! Only if they actually look dirty, or with soft toys/baby toys - if dropped outside too.

NineUnlikelyTales · 11/03/2007 16:55

My DS is 6 months too and I have only washed one of his toys so far. And I regret doing that as it doesn;t look as nice! Seriously though, if your DS hasn't died of dyssentry yet, you're probably doing okay and a bit of dirt is good for their immunne system IMHO.

I don't.

The only time I did, was when dd1 poo-ed in the lego box.... took bl**dy ages to clean it all up. And pretty stomach-churning too!
