I have been lazy over the holidays and my house is a total bomb site!

I am, frankly, a shite housewife. The mess has all finally got on top of me and I want to tackle it today. I've had enough of living like this. I've begun by putting quite a few big bags of things in the attic that I've been meaning to get up there for a while but....

If every single housework task imaginable (pots, bathrooms, hoovering, washing, toys all over bedrooms, dusting, general tidying away and cleaning etc) had to be done in under 4 hours, where would you start?

My DH did my ironing last night! I came down the stairs after putting DS to bed and he had started it, I offered to take over and he said no!

I am jealous....I have 8 loads of ironing to do this week. I need someone like that in my life (least favourite job, can you tell? )

Have got another two loads of washing done and out to dry, got DS1 to wash all his bath toys in a bucket in the garden after school while I hung the washing out (they've been in a box in the garage for 18months), so they are now drying out in the sun, and I've hoovered downstairs.

DH is home now and DS1 is pestering DS2 so I'm going to hide in the kitchen and make dinner. Will try to wipe down the sides in the kitchen instead of mumsnetting like I usually do. Feeling like I've been quite productive so far today!

I've recently realised that I love ironing! How bloody wierd!

I put music on and the time just flies. I actually like it when I've got a full basket

Tomato I don't mind ironing once I get going, but it's the thought of it that annoys me. And with little people around the constant interruption drives me mad too!
