Pushchair rain cover how to store without looking a mess?

It's a trivial thing but really bugs me. Why does the pushchair rain cover always end up crumpled and sad looking? It takes up loads of space too in a big horrible mess. How can I flatten it out so it's not a horrid scrumpled mess?

Mine is folded up and in a bag..

It's got vanes in it to give it a 3d shape (cosatto giggle). Makes folding difficult

I just keep it under the pram in the basket.
