White film after dishwashing

Has my life really come to this.....!!

My dishwasher is driving me mad. I have scrubbed it, added salt, changed the rinse aid, run it with bicarb, run it with vinegar and still everything comes out covered in white dust.

Can anyone offer any other solutions or possible causes? I hate emptying the dishwasher at the best of times, I hate rewashing everything by hand even more!!

I had this recently. Basically we had a water pressure problem because of a small leak. When it was fixed the dishwasher sorted itself out too. So, have you checked there's not a kink in the pipes somewhere ? It may be a water problem. Also have you cleaned out the plastic arms where the water comes out too. I run mine under the tap to make sure there's no blockages. And yes what has life become

Btw I should add the leak was nothing to do with the dw. Does sound like a rinsing issue to me though
