Cast iron pot that is not Le Creuset - recommendations?

Rainatnight · 09/04/2017 18:18

I'm in need of a cast iron pot for stews, casseroles, putting in the oven, etc. Le Creuset is a bit out of my budget at the moment.

What alternatives would you recommend?

Thanks!

Sainsbury's own

Agree with pp, we got sainsbury's own version last year and it's good. Only £30, I think.

I've got one of the Sainsbury's one as well. I can't remember how much I paid, but it was really heavily discounted - about £12 reduced from 25-30ish - so watch for sales.

Aldi's Crofton are good as is the post-sale service.

I am a Le Creuset addict, but the Sainsbury's own are really good value. I wanted a new shallow casserole dish, and got them at Sainsbury when they were on offer. It would have been rude not to at the price they were on sale for. Much as I love my Le Creuset, even I balk at the cost of replacing what I have,

Pyrex do them too.

I've got Sainsbury's own too. They regularly have sales on them.

Sainsbury's again! Or ikea actually. Both great.

That's a resounding vote for Sainsbo's! Thanks all.
