Napisan questions (probably stupid!)

Baby DD poo leaked onto babygro and DP's trousers last night.

I've seen lots on here about adding Napisan to the wash for poo.

My stupid question is - how? Bung in with detergent?

And is it safe on colours?

Thanks

I put a little into the drum.
unfortunately it slightly fades coloures.
I would soak the stained clothes in cold water + bio powder and then wash as normal. then hang out to dry.

Yes bung in with detergent drawer.
It slightly bleaches item, not great for colours but a one off dose you won't notice the difference (probably).
Hand wash won't work for the trousers?

I bung it in with the detergent when I do whites, its the only thing that stops DHs white socks looking minging Hmm

It will fade colours, though.

I used cloth nappies for DD. Best way of getting rid of poo stains I found is to hang them up to dry in the sunlight, the UV bleaches it without damaging the clothes.

Thanks all. It doesn't seem to have stained too badly, I thought I should use it more for the little poo microbes. Is that right?

the little poo microbes will just wash away with the soap. especially if you use high temperatures.

unless there is illness there is no need to use disinfectant.

For heavy stains I presoak, for more general grubbiness I add to detergent drawer.
