Any ideas how I can get the fucking glue from fake nails off my almost brand new kitchen work top please before I disown the teenager ?

Please and thank you.

Fine wire wool. I always used it to clean water marks off around sink area on my black granite worktop. Works perfectly. May get the glue off. Leaves surface smooth- not scratched.

Someone told me the other day that acetone removes glue. I haven't tried it so maybe put a tiny bit on a cotton tip & rub.

You could try to lift it off with oil. Roll out a sausage of plasticine until late about 50mm in diameter, former the sausage into a circle surrounding the glue patch and press gently into contact with the worktop. Now fill the plasticine damp with 3 in 1 oil (or similar) and wait 24 hours. The oil should creep under the glue and break the adhesive. Don't try this on light coloured stone though!
