How do you dry your pans?

I remember my mum using the dish cloth and I know mother in law does too.

I only use "dish cloth" for wiping down kitchen surfaces during the day but it feels wrong to use that for drying pans.

Am I wrong to use dish towel?

Dish cloth for washing the dishes and wiping surfaces, dish towel for drying.

I use a tea towel for all drying up. And I use a sponge for washing up. I use kitchen wipes for wiping down sides and things

I leave them to dry on the drainer, or if they are partially dry, I sit them on the hob so the air can get to them. No black marks on towels which invariably happens if they get dried.

All cutlery, crockery and pots and pans washed by hand (old fashioned know but no room for a dishwasher.

All items carefully rinsed and then strategically stacked on a dish drainer to air dry overnight. In morning everything put away before going to work.

To me drying them with a tea towel would make me want to wash them all over again.

Flalmingdale, you do make me laugh. I've just been watching In the Line of Duty on catch up. You could be in that¬!

Why? What happened? I've only seen 5 minutes of Sunday's show and that made me shout at the telly so I wasn't going to watch anymore. But now I'm intrigued .

Well I'm clearly still foggy from the general anesthetic I had today, read that as 'how do you keep your pants dry' and thought it was a rather personal question.

Pan wise I tend to either wash them straight away and put them back on the warm hob or forget about them, wash them and then dry them with the tea towel, prefer to dry them on the hob though.

Maybe I shouldn't admit to this shocklate, but whenever I get an item of cutlery from the cutlery drawer for myself to use, I have an urge to rinse the end that will go in my mouth before using it. I often give in. Now I know that is a serious case of OCD .

Thanks flamingale, just an op to correct some of my toes, achey but fine.

Seeing some of the stuff my boys manage to knock into the cutlery drawer I can't say I don't blame you for wanting to rinse the cutlery again.
