Could anyone recommend a good window company in London, please?

Oakwood windows in East Barnet, did our french windows, lovely. Anglian were over-priced, tried to get us tied into a credit deal and then 'forgot' the order. Everest wanted £8k!!!!! they are the best but even so... and I've been warned on no uncertain terms that safe-style are dreadful quality and shoddily fitted.

I would always got for a local company (preferably recommended by someone you know) over one of the chains like Anglian

Restoration of original windows or double-glazing job?

We were thinking of replacing our windows and had someone from Zenith Windows. We were surprised to find how the fees were changing in seconds and how long it took them to stay. We found a mixed opinion on the net about them and i was hoping that may be someone had used some window companies and was happy with the quality and the process of the window replacement. I'll be very grateful for an honest recommendatin, no sales pitches. To be honest I'm really tired of all this sales business: people pushing you into the corner!

We had our porch replaced a couple of years ago and the company were excellent and very reasonable.I've just ordered some windows from them and new patio doors which are hopefully being fitted next week.They are a smaller company based in Hornchurch(Essex)called Ardleigh Home Improvements and there service is second to none.Definately recommend them.

can't find the number but we used Barn Glass in Surrey - they were way cheaper than Anglian, Everest etc.. and did a fantastic job.
