Wax crayon on the carpet.

Had a friend over yesterday her DD decided to colour our cream living room carpet with a blue crayon...

Any of the Mumsnet experts know a sure way to remove wax crayon, please?

Kitchen roll over crayon then iron it. Crayon melts and is soaked up by kitchen roll.

Not done it myself but seen it recommended on several top tip type sites.

I thought that but my DM and weren't sure if it would melt it further in to carpet.....?

Def what XY says, though I thought it was cloth (muslin type cloth) you were supposed to use? Also if there is a lot of crayon you could try to freeze it with a bag of ice cubes first so you can pick the worst off.
