Would you use a microwave if it looked like this inside?

Everyone in the household appears healthy, correct height for age, no extra limbs growing.

I just wondered what others would do...

Would you use a microwave if it looked like this inside?

No. I think it's pretty dangerous once rust patches appear.

Why are you posting pictures of my microwave on the internet? How did you get in my house?! Smile

Userone1 · 03/03/2017 13:25

'Microwaves' cannot escape unless there is a hole. Just looks a bit bleurgh!

HateSummer · 03/03/2017 13:26

I would replace it. Imagine all the rust particles going into your food 😱.

NotAPuffin · 03/03/2017 13:27

No, I'd have to buy a new one.

Though when we moved house, our new dishwasher looked like that on the inside (I wouldn't have thought it possible if I hadn't seen it myself!); DH spent hours scrubbing it and it looks like new and hasn't killed any of us yet.

highinthesky · 03/03/2017 13:27

No way José

AQuietMind · 03/03/2017 13:28

Nope!

BertieBotts · 03/03/2017 13:31

Is it rust or spilled food? That looks like when my hot chocolate overflows.

The rotating plate thing can be washed in a dishwasher. The rest should just wipe off with a bit of effort. Stick a slice of lemon in a cup of water an microwave for 2 mins to loosen the dirt and then wipe off.

Losgunna · 03/03/2017 13:31

Ours looked like that and I refused to use it as I thought it was dangerous but dp refused to replace it as 'it still worked'

It exploded just before Christmas.

Thankfully we have a new one now with no rust.

BertieBotts · 03/03/2017 13:32

If it is rust then yeah not nice. Though I can't imagine how rust particles are going to magically float into your food tbh.

Losgunna · 03/03/2017 13:32

Though if it's just food give it a scrub and it'll be fine
