I don't know if I'll do this right. I haven't kept the instructions from a previous thread that someone (satin? shouldbe?) did for me.

Here goes.

Friday FLY

OP posts:
ludaloo · 02/03/2007 09:04

Morning

Your link worked just fine Ivor thanks

I got your email, I'll see you at 1pm

I have to go and help make tea and coffee for Ds' St David's Day celebrations, and then I'm off into town, so won't get much FLYing done today, I'll be able to manage the mission though I'm sure.

Hi everyone

Thanks for mission ivor
Enjoy your St David's day celebrations, luda - not long until St Patrick's day here
Stacey - enjoy your nap, I'm very envious, lol, as another bad night sleep-wise in the laloop household

Haven't done any housework yet, just going to do the basics - had actually written out a list for myself but ds2 has wandered off with it

Will report back with a done list later

Enjoy your day everyone

Hi all. Been a bit lazy today!!
Hav epainted bathroom door and surround though. Will need a few more coats to make it look better.

Now need to find lunch before picking DS's up.

You are lucky stacey!

satinshoes · 02/03/2007 13:55

bugger

tortoise · 02/03/2007 14:11

Oh dear. No advice but hope all are ok and DD is better soon.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 02/03/2007 15:20

Not been doing much today - had a chat to tort on MSN , ordered a nice dress for dd's birthday from Boden , made lemon drizzle cake

Also did a frantic-mad-panic tidy up for unexpected visitor and found to my delight that it only took about 15mins before downstairs looked good again must be all my FLYing! Upstairs is a different story but we'll worry about that later.....

{{{{HUGS}}}} satin Hope your dd is OK xx

taylormama · 02/03/2007 16:39

hi - i feel very bad - i haven't been flying for ages due to work pressures so now i have tonnes to do ... will be trying to get back on track now ... hope you are all well ...

satinshoes · 02/03/2007 16:46

thanks guys. this has been THE worst week.

  • DH set fire to a plastic colander in the kitchen

-Our cat got run over, and now has a fractured pelvis and no hip

-DD may have rubella, and we were worried that she may have given it to a pregnant friends - fingers crossed they are immune!

  • i maye have got caught by a speed camera yesterday
staceym11 · 02/03/2007 16:51

oh satin, sorry but cant help laughing at your dh setting fire to a colander! sorry!

hopefully next week will be better!

EmsTomot · 02/03/2007 17:44

Hello fly ladies - just wanted to let you know today has been really productive again -I have even managed to sort out the meter cupboard and computer desk!
Have done a couple of loads of washing and hoovered as usual - slowed down in the afternoon though and couldn't really be bothered to do much else - my shoes are still on (but I might ignore this rule from now on because of my carpets!!!!)
Satin, sorry your little one is poorly, our little lad came out with a rash following bad tummy/cold etc - it turned out to be ezcema, which runs in our family but was only flared up once he began teething with a particularly nasty high tooth.
Hope you find out what it is and everything is okay.

staceym11 · 02/03/2007 17:50

i can't get the shoes thing, i dont even wear slippers at home, would be really odd wandering round my house in my shoes?! and dont think dh would appriciate my stilleto heels leaving marks on the lino in the kitchen and bathroom!

EmsTomot · 02/03/2007 18:01

Stacey, just thought I would take the directions of the Fly lady site, but you know, I feel really stupid wearing shoes in the house too - never have before!
The site says it stops you making excuses about going down the garden to the rubbish bin etc - to be honest, I don't need not to be wearing shoes to not want to treck down the garden with dustbin bags all day - thats what my other half is for!
Plus, my trainers are getting really wiffy now!

ludaloo · 02/03/2007 18:06

Hi all

satin hope your dd is ok, {{{HUGS}}} for you all xx

Hello to Everyone

I have managed to:

~Do 2 loads of washing and dry them
~Unload/reload Dishwasher
~Tidy round
~Go to watch ds look like a rabbit in the headlights on stage...bless!!!
~Have a drink and a chat with Ivor (hope you got back ok, we didn't see you getting your salad...ds had a tantrum and we made a quick exit!!)
~Got Petrol
~Went to bank
~Made tea
~Tidied it up
~Hoovered
~Made fire

Now I need the kids to put themselves to bed...quietly...a nice glass of wine...Johnny Depp...and lots of chocolate

staceym11 · 02/03/2007 18:24

Emstomot, well i don't even have a garden, we live in a flat, only thing i have to go outside to do is take the big bin out and do the recycling, but can't do that when im on my own with the dcs as its about 2-3 minutes walk and i can't manage both of them and the rubbish and the recycling so i do it when dh is home anyway!

yaddayah · 02/03/2007 18:47

satin good news about dd2 sleeping better, hope DD1 is better soon, there seems to be a lot of bugs around ..my two have had fever with minor rashes (probably heat come to think of it) tummy aches, bad coughs with lots of lovely green phelgm and sticky eyes within the past week, is he 100% sure its german measles ? If it is i'm sure you're pg friends will have had there jabs .. (fingers crossed)

Dare i ask how your DH set fire to the colander ??

stacey i'm with emstorti don't wear shoes either.. i change it to sticking on a bit of slap so i don't scare the neightbours when I leave the house !
ludaloo am liking the wine/chocolate/johnny deep combo !

Well house is pretty much done, doesn't take me that long now, even FIL commented its was tidy and he's a real neat freak

Have a good weekend all .. i doubt i'll be able to get back online this weekend so till Monday ..

Byeeeee

satinshoes · 02/03/2007 19:27

thanks everyone. yaddah - dh was just distracted i guess.

will be glad when this week is finally over.

EmsTomot · 02/03/2007 19:36

yaddayah - I think its great that you stick a bit of slap on - I don't, unless of course you count the baby vomit across my cheek, which happens more and more frequently now a days!!!
Stacey - we live in a two bed terrace which has a garden - right across the access road to the back of the houses - its so overgrown, I'd be better off without one!!!
Don't understand why we can't have bins just outside our houses and shove the rubbish through a letter box type thing - if you lived in a flat, you could put it down a shoot!
Our bin men haven't even turned up today - so it's staying out front until they do!
