Cleaning wood worktop

I have an oiled worktop in my kitchen which I oil every 6 months or so. What is the best thing to clean is daily with? Detol spray? Polish?

The instructions for the wood worktops we're getting say warm soapy water. Wood has natural anti-bacterial properties. Most bacteria is harmless anyway so warm soapy water and a cloth will shift them. You don't want to be putting furniture polish on a food prep surface, plus the silicone in many spray polishes will build up and make the wood look dull.

You can oil the wood periodically to protect it.
