Grrrr! Grease mark will not budge

A top I love to wear (simple vest type top but not a standard colour and goes with lots of things) got splashed - I'm presuming with something greasy

Unfortunately I hadn't realised and washed at a low temp without pre treating it

I've since rubbed washing up liquid on it before washing it again but it's still there!!

It's on the front so can't even chuck on a cardigan to hide it

Any genius tips?

Rub talc into it, rub it with the iron (steam turned off) and then brush it off with a towel or flannel, may need to rewash if it's dark.

I had this with a pair of much loved jeans.

Tried washing and using stain remover on numerous occasions without success.

Finally got a double sheet of kitchen roll and ironed the grease spot over the kitchen roll with a dry iron. The grease was absorbed by the kitchen roll. I then washed again and hey presto all gone.

It was just a cheap top but one of those little treasures that becomes a staple in the wardrobe and would be sadly missed!

I use green household soap for grease stains (Morrison's sell it). I once went to work in a brand new t shirt and the toddler put a perfect peanut butter hand print right on the front, I rubbed in green soap before washing and it came out fine.

DP had a shirt with unknown stain on the front. That got washed and ironed(!) before I noticed the mark. I tried all sorts, but in the end I used a Dr Beckmann stain remover for oil and grease and it worked like a dream. I came to the conclusion the stain was sauce or gravy of some description.

Try a drop or two of washing up liquid rubbed in just before the wash.

Morrisons green soap did the trick

This is useful. I bought a nice light grey long-sleeved top a couple of years ago. It got a mark of unknown origin on the front and we've never been able to shift it. Sigh. So I bought a similar one last week, wore it for the first time on Sunday and splashed the front with grease while cooking. I put washing-up liquid on it immediately but the mark is still there, so will try all these tips in succession to see what works.
