Porcelain (?) hob surface has dulled with use - any solution?

Having read the instruction booklet, apparently I should have been cleaning the hob after every spill as soon as it was cool enough in order to prevent this. Is there really no way to make it shiny again?

do you mean ceramic? We use hob brite. You can get it in most supermarkets. HTH

don't know then sorry. Just looked at the hob brite bottle. Recommended for ceramic and halogen only. Sorry
