Remove smoke from 2nd hand clothing

I purchased a sleeping bag for my son second hand, however once I got home I thought I could smell smoke on it. Is there anyway I can remove this to make it safe for my one year old son? Or do I give up and stop trying to find a bargain..

Chase you got somewhere you can hang it outside?

Tweedledee3Tweedledum · 13/02/2017 10:30

I do.

Wash it?

Tweedledee3Tweedledum · 13/02/2017 10:35

I am, of course, going to wash it. I guess washing and airing it outside will be enough.

Would definitely wash a few times in a row and a good few dryer hits one after the other
