My dh is away at the moment .. i hate it, even though he usually only sees the kids for an hour before bedtime, they so look forward to seeing him.. this morning DS was waving to the planes in the sky to say good morning to daddy

Downstairs is looking really rather nice and to top my efforts off the window cleaners turned up unexpectantly (haven't been for about 5mths)so I have sparkly windows - very nice Wanted to get some flowers while I was out running errands but couldn't face the extra walk to the florist in the showers so gave up, will try again another day.
Not sure I'll get upstairs today cos really need some time with the lo's. Must try to put some laundry away but that'll be about it I think.
Everyone sounds busy See you later x

Afternoon.
My desk looks all clean, clutter and dust free! And around the desk is all tidy too. Just need to hoover.

Then need to sort the rest of the room!

DD's have been upstairs. Hate to think of the mess they have made.

grouchyoscar · 28/02/2007 15:40

Afternoon FLYbies

The house is self managing after yesterday so I've done a tiny bit of flying today. I had to go Bridesmaid dress shopping this morning so, I was a bit busy TBH

Flying done to press
UP and showered
DS up
Wash nit lotion out of our hair
Get dressed
Make breakfast
Get bags ready for day
Dress DS
Take DS to school
Chat about his progress to Nursery head (and read story to other children when asked)
Put 'girly shopping' head on (new accessory for me but it's working!) and go dress hunting (think we found one).
Home, make lunch
Deal with mail (I was sent a thank you card as I gave some of DS's old toys etc to a charity who pass them on to families with nothing, that was nice)
Clear DS's toys in front room. Stow away
Vac front room
Put damp clothes in TD and run
Empty DW
Put away
DS home
Change him to civvies
Plant rosemary in garden while DS plays (in compost/puddles etc)
Carry sand table to kitchen (fall over in process)
Dry bathroom floor (cheers DS)
Strip muddy clothes off
Load and Run WM

To do
Stow sand table under kitchen table (I'll have to move 2 chairs to cellar)
Empty WM
Sort out

oh and RELAX!

Hope everyone is doing OK.

satinshoes · 28/02/2007 15:43

hi all. nothing done as DD1 had a raging temperatue last night and over night. she's a bit better today but with her and an incapacited cat i'm not getting much done!

tortoise · 28/02/2007 16:10

GO Good list as always.

Satin sorry to hear your dd1 has been poorly. Hope the cat is doing ok.

Just had a chat with my sol. Sounding quite positive.

They are arranging a 'Proffesionals' meeting hich all the sols,sw,guardian etc will attend. Sounds like they will basically be discussing the residency of DS's and seeing if an agreement can be agreed. Mainly because the Dr that spoke to us was quite positive about the boys being back home with me and DD's. And him being quite a respected pro, the court would be unlikly to disagree with him. So no SW report is expected now until after they have this meeting(possibly next fri).

EmsTomot · 28/02/2007 16:38

Hi, feeling a little read faced because I have just dropped messages on Monday's fly! - I have joined today and have spent an exhilarating day hoovering, placing 27 items into a black bag, wearing shoes, shining sinks, doing, drying and putting away laundry and looking after an eight month old!!!! - I managed to eat once, but I'll work on that.
I want to take the baby steps and am not zoning at the moment - has anyone got a simple daily routine I can follow tomorrow - just to tidy the house enough for when we get back (going out mid afternoon to visit family) - I already have a bed time routine to a fashion - its the morning that gets me.

grouchyoscar · 28/02/2007 16:54

Sounds good tort I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Ems I have never baby stepped or zoned TBH. My whole hose is the zone! Just do what feels right for you.

Good tip. Never go up or down a flight of stairs without taking something with you. and Never go past a pile of stuff without tackling it. Sorts things out a treat.

Why have I turned into Granny Murray?

EmsTomot · 28/02/2007 17:41

Thanks Grouchy, have actually taken the "got them out so put them away" rule very literally today and alot of the surfaces are cleared - which is unusual.
If I get five minutes, I do something rather than wait for the next five...which is a pattern I have slipped into since not working to stay at home.
The thing I am going to tackle tonight, once we get back from shopping is the dining room table, it is a real hot zone and I can't remember when I last saw the top of it!
Black bin bag at the ready - my husband will be absolutely shocked!
Does anyone on this thread run a journal like suggested on the website?

Lazylou · 28/02/2007 17:51

Evening Ladies and hi to any newbies!!

Well, the new job is going well at the moment. Lots of interacting with the children, which basically means rolling round the floor having a good time with them which is something I'm not going to get a chance to do once the proper work of observations and planning and paperwork get underway!

Uni is a bit hectic. Got two massive bits of work to go in on Saturday, neither of which are done (or even started yet)!

My house, for about a week, has looked beautiful thanks to DH and his new ebay fix but I came home from work today and the place looked like a tip, so have asked DH to have a quick tidy round tomorrow whilst I'm at work (not too much to ask considering he's having three months off!).

I have finally developed the take something with you technique and I'm managing to keep usually massive piles of stuff, fairly minimum, which is really pleasing me. I managed to iron all of DD's clobber last week too which was a real achievement. The ironing pile is now only 2 metres high .

Got to crack on with homework now and getting DD in the bath and ready for bed, so not much time for FLYing today. Have a quiet day tomorrow so will ahave to get on then.

Hope all is well with everyone!
