What to use re this small curtain issue?

I'd like to make it so that the curtains are flush to the wall at the side so that they don't let any light in at all.
Can I use some sort of double sided tape? I can't stick them to the wall permanently as this side is where the pulley is for opening and closing.
Sew one side to the curtain, and stick one side to the wall?
What do you think?
Any other ideas gratefully received.
TIA

You can get stick and sew velcro. One side is adhesive and the other side can be seen to fabric.

Thanks treewall. I've find it on line.

I tried that once. Ended up ripping the wallpaper when someone pulled the curtain back. I wondered if small magnets might be a better solution but never got round to trying it.
