Decent towels - Debenhams or Next?

A bit limited as to where we can purchase, which towels would be the best quality, Next, Debenhams, IKEA or M&S, we have bought a new house & after years of rough old worn towels we want new ones for the new house. Best quality from above all are a similar price point I think. Also bath sheets or bath towels, is there much of a difference?

I may be odd but I can't stand big fluffy towels.

My favourites are actually IKEA because of the size (bath towels wrap round us) and they are not big and fluffy. I'm not so keen on their colours and wish they'd do more subtle colours but not much I can do about that.

I see someone recommended Next. In my attempts to find thin, nicely coloured towels I got some of these. They are too thick and not as big as IKEA. My neice got them.

Supima Cotton is the American equivalent of long-fibre high sheen Egyptian Cotton, with all the relative quality controls in place.

I'd advise you to look here for quality towels and bed linen, fast delivery and good prices: www.justlinen.co.uk

Ours are from Debenhams and still wash well and are snag free. I think they are 2/3 years old

Next towels for us have been a nightmare. They look beautiful and are soft and absorbent but the dust that comes off them every single use makes our beautiful white bathroom look horrid 🙁 We’ve had them months now and then thought after lots of washing they would come right but it’s been to no avail. We bought loads and now taking them up the charity shop and buying elsewhere. Really feel we wasted our money

Ha ha this thread is originally from 2017 but someone above revived it. I’ve had some wonderful premium hotel quality white towels at a very reasonable price from

www.kingofcotton.com

and they also sell 5* hotel quality bed linen too

I got my best towels from Primark! Never normally shop there but they came out really well in consumer tests, they have been fantastic (and very cheap).
