Getting ink out of clothes...

DD Has got ink on the transfer part of her hoodie and is mortified in the way that only a teenage girls can be.

What is best way to get it out? I've tried neat fairy liquid which didn't work, the transfer is white, but am worried bleach might damage the transfer?

I thinking back to school fountain pen failure, milk is the answer

I've just removed ink from a school shirt pocket with hairspray. In the process, I ended up with about 8 identical ink spots rather than the original one, but they're all gone now. You must put something between the layers to stop it spreading.
Tried the same trick yesterday on a sports polo - no success whatsoever.

Try isopropyl alcohol and blotting? That said have never been able to get marker out of DS1s shirts with this method.
