Bleach mark on new top!

I'm so annoyed! I have a nice new top which I've just accidentally splashed Milton onto, and it has resulted in a bleach spot. It's right on the boob area, so it's really noticeable! Is there anything I can do to make it less bad?

The top is cotton, dark green/blue with a pattern, so the bleached spot is really noticeable...

Not really, bleach isn't a stain per se, it takes the colour out of the fabric. You could try a Dylon dye, but even Dylon say there is no guarantee of covering a bleach mark (plus, the only options for Dylon is a hand dye - which I would assume would be v. tricky to do just one spot, or a machine dye, which then you would put the whole top + dye in the washer).

Could you stitch something over it (something from the haberdashery, say like an applique to make it part of the design).

I thought maybe Dylon, too, but I agree it would be very hard to do just one spot. I don't think an appliqué would work, as it's quite thin cotton, but I appreciate the suggestion!

I managed to get a bleach stain out of a top by soaking it in white vinegar over night and sticking it in the wash the next day. Don't ask how or why but it was like a new top. It was a peach colour that had the bleach stain on my boob area too, amazing!

Colouring with a Sharpie pen every few washes will make the top wearable again!

Another vote for sharpie here. I used to work in a restaurant and used to colour my skirt in before I went in. It used to get loads of small spots on it.
