Which cordless vacuum?

I'm looking to invest in a cordless vacuum. I have a small but tall house (lots of stairs). The ground floor has wooden floors but we have carpet throughout the rest of the house.

We have no pets... but my hair seems to clog up hoovers quite quickly!

I would rather not spend a fortune....

Any ideas or recommendations please?

Thanks!

I have a Dyson v6 and I love it! Love the charging dock, so light and easy to manoeuvre, game changer when it comes to doing the stairs (which sounds like a bonus for you if you have a tall house!). Super easy to empty. Lasts 20-25 mins on one charge, then maybe 3 hours to charge back up to full?

The which review basically says nearly as good as the v8 but less than half the price.

One drawback since you mention your hair - I too seem to shed a lot and it continually gets wrapped around the brush in the head. V quick and easy to remove and clean though.

I wouldn't ever go back to corded...

I am the proud owner of the gtech airam. Bought the push along and the handheld for stairs. Battery lasts about 40mins and takes a couple of hours to charge. So easy and clean to empty the filters. Had it s couple of years, not regretted it ever and couldn't contemplate a cordless vacuum again

I wondered about the g-tech. It's cheaper than the dyson.... and yet it seems better??

i test drove both gtech and v8 before making up my mind and v8 was way way better - have not regretted my decision at all.

We have the v6 animal and although we don't have pets it's great picking up my long hair! It does wind around the brush as pp said but easy to remove. Could never have a corded heavy vacuum again! So much easier to pick up and clean up a few crumbs rather than lugging a big hoover around and especially on stairs Smile

Thanks all!

I just bought the dyson v6 animal from Costco (only £195...) and it is amazing. I had a Hetty Hoover before and thought my house was pretty hair and dust free... until I used my new dyson! The fluff and hair that came up from the carpet was incredible. I have wall mounted it too so it takes up no space. Absolutely love it.
