Help, I've just tumble-dried my dd's padded jacket and it's gone all lumpy ....

It's been one of those days ... and I've mistakenly tumble-dried my dd's padded jacket (it's one of those Boden numbers with detachable sleeves and a hood) and the padding inside has gone into little hard balls. Is there anything I can do or is it a lost cause? She's hardly worn it of course ... . Any ideas anyone please???

Is it a feather filled one? If so I would wash it again, then when you put it in the drier add a couple of tennis balls which will beat the feathers into fluffieness. A sheet of bounce might also help!

That's brilliant advice hecciesmum - thank you - it's some sort of synthetic fibre I think but I'll give it a go ... !! Mumsnetters is a brilliant resource isn't it?? thanks again
