Teeny tiny flies on wooden door and frame

no idea if this is the right place to post or even if anyone can help me but we recently moved into a house. I just got up close to my bedroom door and there were tiny, and I mean really tiny flies, dead all over it. They are so small they are just black dots but you can make out a tiny wing. Anyone ever experienced this? By the way we are a clean family and the house was done up before we moved in!

Are you absolutely sure there's a wing on them? Spider poo looks like little black dots. Look up^ to see if there's any little beasties living around the door.

If they are flies then I don't know sorry.

Sorry I wasn't much help. Perhaps previous owners had an infestation from a plant or something, dealt with the problem but forgot to clean up. Odd how they're just on the door though.
