How to clean glass candlesticks?

I've poured hot water over them to melt the wax which has worked, the wax has gone, but there is a greasy waxy film on the glass. Any ideas how I can get rid of it please?

Lighter fluid would probably clean them, it removes sticky residues.

Have you got a dishwasher? I soaked some glass in a solution of hot water and a dissolved dishwasher tablet. Fairy works best.
Or a solution of sugar soap and hot water.
