Teapot Cleaning

remingtonmaa · 05/01/2017 12:42

My teapot has a badly stained interior. Not helped by a teabag left to mould inside ( glares at dd2).
How can I clean it and disinfect it without making it smell and tainting the tea ?
Thanks in advance.

Denture tablets left in overnight and then a void rinse the next day.

boil some hot water inside the teapot and then use a nice strong bristle brush to get out any crap inside and then rinse the teapot out.

Put it in a dishwasher.

Bicarbonate of soda is brilliant for tea stains. Rub it in with a damp cloth.

Ours get machine dishwashed several times a week. But I wouldn't put anything with metallic glaze in the dishwasher. Maybe search the brand online and see if it's dishwasher-proof?
