Kohl black eyeliner bits trodden into my cream carpet? Have tried a damp cloth but its just smudged even more? Can anyone offer me some tips please? Am desperate to get it out.

a solvent like nail varnish remover maybe or meths. Try it in an out of the way corner first to make sure it doesn't mark the carpet.

I would use a bit of dreft (for woollens) mixed in a squirty bottle with some water, squirt it on and rub gentle with a finger - not too hard as it will change the pile texture. It should dissolve it - leave to dry and hoover as normal.

Or eye make up remover?

you could try WD40 if you are desperate
