How to get rid of musty damp smell from jacket

I bought a ski jacket for DS from eBay before Christmas and while it is in perfect condition, it had a bit of a musty smell to it, so I gave it a wash as per the label. It is not suitable to be tumble dried, because of the waterproofing. I dried it very carefully, hung up over the shower first to drip, and then near the radiator, but the smell remains. It kind of smells like when washing hasn't dried properly and gone a bit stagnant. It's not super strong and DS hasn't noticed it, but it's bothering me. Has anyone had any success getting rid of this kind of smell?

Try washing again using Dettol laundry liquid or a touch of zoflora in washing machine drawer. Wash as hot as the care instructions say you are allowed and hand outside for as long as poss. A couple of days if necessary.

It'll probably be alright if you just leave it out hanging somewhere (I.e. Not in a cupboard or wardrobe) for a little while.

I second the Zoflora. Mix a little with water and put in the fabric conditioner part of the washer drawer. This gets rid of all smells in clothes, even stinky gym kit.

Warning: you may develop an addiction to zoflora and buy many bottles in many flavours...

As the above poster suggested try ZOFLORA

I have yet to succumb to the cult of Zoflora. Maybe this is my chance!
