shouldbe: you have made progress and ticked things off your list - I know I am guilty of making huge lists that I could never acheive if I had double the amount of time available. Then I get fed up because I feel i haven't acheived anything when in fact I have!

ludaloo · 20/02/2007 13:00

Jelley I think it was laloop who had her ds in PJ's....I am guilty of it too though, My kids were contantly in sleep suits as babies, and occasionally on a weekend my 19 month old will stay in her pj's with a jumper over the top! (If we don't have to go very far)

shouldbe I can't get motivated either hun, Its just much more appealing to sit here!
I have to go though...dd2 has doctors soon and I need to change my top, which is covered in chocolate biscuit

ludaloo · 20/02/2007 13:02

I don't mind being confused for laloop sonnet!
We both have lots of l's and oooo's

yaddayah · 20/02/2007 13:26

dd walked to nursey beautifully

if we pop to the village shop (3 min walk) it has been known for both ds and dd (5 and nearly 3) to have pj's with jumpers on with wellies and an anorak [shame]

Sonnet · 20/02/2007 13:38

Hi everyone
We're back at home again (and it was us who stayed in our jammies until well after 11am today ). Have to admit I have taken ds2 along on many a morning school run with a coat on over his pjs too!

Bought some lemons to make pancakes and lemon drizzle cake, although not sure I have enough eggs in the fridge so may have to get out to shop again.

Now sat at PC with cup of tea and a doughnut

MadameSleepsLessAndLess · 20/02/2007 14:46

sorry tlv

OP posts:
laloop · 20/02/2007 15:28

Had enough eggs in fridge, so lemon drizzle cake in oven [very excited emoticon]

shouldbedoingthehousework · 20/02/2007 16:05

Just home from school/post office/corner shop run.
Dd has gone to her after-school class cos she was very remorseful when she came out of school and had done me a lovely picture if her looking sad and saying "Sorreee Mum" Caved after that and let her go not sure if the correct decision, only time will tell...

~hoover upstairs
~hoover downstairs done
~hoover under bed
~dust upstairs
~dust downstairs done
~change beds done
~mop downstairs done
~wipe kitchen done
~clear pile of post from counter-top
~go to Post Office done
~empty td, fold and put away clothes done
~make pancake batter done

I love pancakes so today is a treat for me dd and ds occasionally eat them so I won't know till suppertime if today is a yes or no on that front but I'm more than happy to help with left-overs so no prob there

ds is watching a video, I shouldbe running him an early bath but couldn't resist a peck on MN - will get on in a minute.

yaddayah · 20/02/2007 16:15

shouldbe i think even i (the cold hearted evil queen of the naughty step) would have given in on that one !!

My dd is sitting in the kitchen, drinking her water (no squash allowed today) and has given up asking if she can watch cbeebies

ludaloo · 20/02/2007 16:54

ooh laloop how did the lemon cake go?

Well dd2 has a chest infection and is now on the flourescent yellow antibiotics! She is not impressed! (infact she has been most unimpressed all afternoon...was a big moany pants at the doctors, and wouldn't let him listen to her chest properly)

dd1 has come out of school with a black eye appearing...banged heads apparently!
ds is a hyper, super charged wierdo...he played peepo with the doctor..and kept shouting "I can see your foof" at me (my zip was half down)

Well off to get the pancake mixture done so we can eat pancakes...I promised I'd let them help. dd1 made them at school today!

see you later xx

yaddayah · 20/02/2007 18:06

' I can see your foof
Ludaloo hope you're dd's better soon

I've had the chesty coughing thing now for over 3 weeks its got so bad now its making me throw up [oh the joy] emoticon

Well i'm signing off for the night

I didn't get my ironing done, but apart from that the house looks pretty darn dangly doodle (sorry Simpsons has just started)

Naughty dd is just about to be sent to bed early, (told you i was harsh !) DS looks very smug about that

As the great fly lady (blee) would say .. tommorrow is another day (or was that Scarlett O'Hara ??

laloop · 20/02/2007 18:22

Rofl, your ds sounds hilarious, luda

Lemon cake is delicious, great recipe . But there's soooo much of it...will have to send some in with dh to work tomorrow so that ds2 and I don't end up pigging out on it tomorrow (I'm meant to be rejoining WW in the morning, lol). Is it freezable, btw (maybe not now that I have already iced it)?

ludaloo · 20/02/2007 18:29

I half the amounts so that I don't just scoff the lot...I have heard it can be frozen...not sure about with icing on though.

Ds has been a monkey all day today! My nerves are just about done in! He does and says the most things at completely the wrong times! He was patting my boobs in the cue at the post office too...I was actually oblivious for at least 5 mins of him playing the bongos! It all of a sudden dawned on me and I had to shuffle him along quickly!!! [rolling eyes emoticon]

Jelley · 20/02/2007 19:25

laloop/ludaloo sorry for confusing you...I knew I was getting it wrong, but then if I'd changed it I would've been right the first time.
Glad I'm not alone in not dressing my baby by 9am every day though

yaddayah -sounds really rough.

I din't get much done (again) but have ingredients to do lemon drizzle tomorrow.

grouchyoscar · 20/02/2007 19:54

Evening ALL

Welcome Sonnet

By Heck, you lot have been mega busy today Well Done

Further Done List
Play with DS (We're making a monster head from cardboard boxes)
Put his outdoor toys away
Make lunch
Tidy away
Go to see Physio (I got discharged YEAH!)
Go to town
Sort out paperwork for transport consessions
Speak to Surestart Officer about possible community funding opportunities for her groups (I hope she can use them)
Go to Tesco
Come home to relive MIL of DS
Tidy toys away
Sort out fire
Make tea (home made Italian bean soup and granary baton)
Have tea
Bath DS (who is liberally smeared in gloopy soup)
Empty WM
Sort out 2x loads of damp washing
Hang it all to dry (I'm living in a Chinese Laundry)
Errr...Stop!

Begining to feel that Grouchy and sit down or cup of tea are mutually exclusive terms. I'm utterly exhausted!

Tomorrow we finish the monster head (It's green with orange spikes) Can't stay in PJs cos bod from Virgin Media are coming round to install new gizmos at DH's behest.

Forgot Pancake day but we have them once a fortnight anyway. Plus DH has gone to the football match anyway. Doing blueberry ones for Friday brekkie instead.
Nighty Night all

tortoise · 20/02/2007 20:20

Hi all. Looks like lots of good lists today!

We went on the train to a soft play place! It was loud and busy but they all had a good time!
I had a headache before we went and still got it now and am very tired!
We watched a dvd tonight in the dark with big cushions and bean bags on the floor!

Still not put the washing away
