Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of red wax crayon on my oak sideboard? My DD thoughtfully scribbled all over it tonight instead of using the easel which was right next to it

TIA

I think a spontex rub off (the things are like magic!) would get it off. You can buy them from lots of different places - I got mine from Homebase. Got red wax crayon (why is always red?!) off kitchen table and walls.

warm iron on brown paper - the wax will melt and stick to the paper

have you tried babywipes? It works on walls/skirting boards

hairspray worked on my marble table ..so maybe....?

FromGirders · 20/02/2007 00:12

WD40 worked for me.

babywipes for me too

babywipes got wax crayon off my sofa

dd tried to blame it on the cat but I suspect his fine motor skills weren't really up to that

LOL, 10/10 for the creative excuse though

Thanks for all your suggestions, I'll give them a go apart from yours Curly, wouldn't work as she scribbled on the door and drawers, so unhideable. My DD obviously knows how to go for maximum impact

I'll second babywipes...they are very good at getting crayon off lots of things.
