New mop?

So my trusty old e cloth string mop has finally died. It had a really annoying way of sort it coming loose from the handle every time it was wrung and it was discontinued a few years.

We have a bumpy sandstone floor, so I need a mop that can cope with an unsmooth surface (we use the scrubby brush method but with 1 messy cook and 2 small people I need to be able to do a good mopping in between scrubbing)

Any recommendations?

Oh and not a steam mop. Proper old fashioned hot soapy water mop.

No idea but isn't this the holy grail? (So am marking my place)

I've got one of those whizzy ones - not sure it would cope with uneven flagstones but it's great fun!

I've got the classic Vielda Mop and Bucket, it's perfect!

We got a proper wooden handled string mop from our local hardware shop, it's fantastic. You can really put some force into it

Yes agree - proper old fashioned "string" mop from a hardware store. The reason why these "old fashioned" things are still around, despite the hundreds of new things that have come after is because the old ones simply work and are the best.
