Hi, please can somebody recommend me a hand held vacuum cleaner - I'm a bit overwhelmed by the choice and prices out there. Do I need a Dyson? What about voltage?

Depends on usage I would say. I have a Henry for my main vacuum but I wanted a handheld to just get the little bits in between doing a proper job. I got a Russell Hobbs one that cost about £35 and does the job perfectly for the price. It's corded though so not like the Dyson one.

We have GTec, it's rubbish, hardly any suction. I believe there is a new improved model now though.

We replaced the rubbish GTec with a Vax handheld a few weeks ago when they did a promotion with MN. Much better.

V6 animal Dyson is fantastic.

Yes.

Sorry, when i said that the GTech was rubbish, I meant the handheld. The big one (K9 AirRam)!is brilliant.

Another for the Dyson v6 animal. I got rid of my Hetty after getting this as it's just so much easier. Hetty was heavy and clumsy around corners, this is nippy and the suction on it is amazing. My carpets have never been so clean. I got ours from the Dyson outlet on eBay so it's a reconditioned model but tbh it looked brand new and it has a 1 year guarantee. Cost £150.
