I'm thinking of getting a wifi kettle but some have really mixed reviews online. Anyone got a good one?

I think there's only one brand does this, we bought an Ikettle recently for about £70. Love it, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Thanks. Googling it is confusing me! I've found some that need an app. I was hoping to connect my Alexa dot to it. I'll check out the i kettle.

Ooh, what does it do?

Cosmicglitterpug · 12/12/2016 07:34

Just boiling the water! But you can do it from somewhere else in the house. (I'm lazy)

So you can boil your kettle from your bed?
Genius
I did find this though

Yes! That's the idea...

I saw that!

That's a long lie in!
I've always wanted a bath that fills itself

DurhamDurham · 12/12/2016 08:03

But don't you need to go and fill it up with water first? Couldn't you just switch it on then? I'm paranoid about kettles boiling dry so it would cause me more upset than it's worth. I'd love one of those boiling water taps though, thats on my list of things to have when we move house.

Cosmicglitterpug · 12/12/2016 08:25

I'd leave the water in overnight. It's going to get boiled.

I would guess that the kettle would know if it didn't have enough water in it
I was at work talking to a parent (work in a nursery) and she got a text and took her phone out
I explained our safeguarding policy meant she couldn't use her phone in the nursery
She said it's ok, it's just my oven texting me
Shock

I bloody love mine!! Got it for Xmas 2 years ago and still love it as much as that first day... It's the super lazy gadget of choice, you can boil water from your bed, or my personal favourite, when you drive up in your car and connect to the wifi it asks if you want to boil the kettle before you even get in the house, bloody brilliant!! GrinGrin
It's also got lots of feautres about boiling water to different temps for different teas etc.

Do it, you won't regret it!

Cosmicglitterpug · 12/12/2016 08:47

Which one do you have cani?
