Kitchen floor grout - cleaning help!

Hi

We stupidly had pale grout put on our kitchen floor (pale tiles) at the advice of the builder. It gets dirty so easily but not uniformly!

Any tips on how to keep it clean/clean it? -are those steam cleaners any good?

I would even darken it down if I could go it uniformly as that would look better.

What do others do? Thanks!

Best method I have found is oxiclean or similar. Make a strong solution of the powder then flood the grout lines and let it sit for an hour or so. No scrubbing required. If you have a wet/dry vacuum it will make life easier as the oxiclean leaves a film on the tiles that can take a lot of mopping.

My light grey grout comes up like new.

You can seal the grout lines to prevent them getting manky again - I don't know how effective this is as I've never managed to get round to doing it!
