Any good tips on how to do this? My cooking skills are not vast and would love to learn how to organise getting food for meal planning and having a better day to day routine for my DD and DSS. Thanks.

Yes! I am not organised in the slightest but one day decided to use the time my son was at nursery to research 4 weeks worth of recipes (simple family meals ) and then put each week into ocado as a 'list '. Food shopping is really easy now, I just click 'list 1' then go through it to make sure we haven't got any of the things already left over and done! The best thing was I planned according to health guidelines that matter to us (little red meat, 2 oily fish per week) and it has halved our shopping costs and vastly reduced food waste.

Oooh that sounds good! Where did you find the 4 weeks worth or is it a quick google search?
